The Bond Market Association Limited (BMA) is a company limited by guarantee without share capital established on 15th March, 2013 under the Companies Act (CAP 486) of the Laws of Kenya. BMA has primary members comprised of commercial banks, investment banks, stockbrokers, fund managers and insurance companies.
BMA is a securities business related association. Its main purposes are to be a self-regulatory organization (SRO) for a fair and efficient operation of the bond market and to be an information centre for the Kenyan bond market. It also plays functional roles on market development, market convention and standards and being Bond Pricing agency for the industry. In addition, BMA provides a forum through which industry professionals can respond to current issues and play a role in shaping the future of the Kenyan and regional bond market.
